Advanced Imaging San Marcos features the latest in imaging technology including a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, computed axial tomography (CT scan), ultrasound (or sonogram) and x-ray. Advanced Imaging is the only locally owned and operated outpatient imaging clinic in San Marcos and is accredited by the American College of Radiology in each of its modalities. Advanced Imaging San Marcos was founded in 2004 by the radiology team of Dr. Gregory de la Iglesia, Dr. Douglas Smith, and Dr. Stephen Swearingen, the San Marcos Medical Imaging group. AISM was created for the communities within Hays, Caldwell and Guadalupe counties which lacked a locally-owned and operated outpatient imaging center.
